Please
join our exciting and innovative leadership and advocacy training
course, the Institute for Senior Action (IFSA). The
Institute was founded by JPAC volunteer, Dorothy Epstein
in 1994. JPAC's Institute is a comprehensive course that will help
you develop the skills you need to maneuver our complicated political
system and get results. You will learn the roles of your elected
officials and how to work with them, how to write letters to your
legislators, how to give testimony on issues of concern, working
with the media, public speaking and more.
The
Fall Semester will start September 2007.
Thus far
we have trained 572 senior leaders representing over 400 organizations
throughout NY City. All older adults 55+ who are interested in advocacy
are invited to attend. There is a nominal charge for the program
of $50 with limited scholarships available.
